San Dimas Rodeo Scholarships – 2007
Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2007 San Dimas Rodeo Scholarships
$10,000 in scholarships to be awarded – individual amounts will vary
All students attending San Dimas High School are eligible
Students attending other high schools who are residents of San Dimas, La Verne and Glendora are eligible
Students attending Cal Poly or Mount Sac who are majoring in Agricultural Business or Animal Husbandry are eligible
Applications and essays were due by April 2, 2007

2005 Scholarships
San
Dimas Rodeo Art Scholarships – 2005
The San Dimas
Rodeo awarded $1,200 in art scholarships to high school students
who submitted artwork at the San Dimas Festival of Western Arts
in April. Our first place winner, Kristin Heersema, is a student
at Bonita High School and $500 will be sent to the college or
educational program of her choice. Other Bonita students, Brittany
Lawson and Sierra Pelot, are recipients of $300 and $200, respectively.
Jami Perysian, a San Dimas High School student, tied with Sierra
for Third Place and will also receive $200.

Dimas Rodeo Academic Scholarships – 2005
Our Academic
Scholarships totaled $10,000 this year and the program was open
to high school seniors who reside in San Dimas, La Verne and Glendora
and college students attending Mt. Sac and Cal Poly Pomona who
are majoring in Agriculture or Animal Husbandry. Five hundred
dollars was given to Vicki Vaughan, a student at Mt. Sac who plans
to become a Registered Veterinary Tech and $2,000/each went to
Brittany Yates and Robert Oakleaf, students at Cal Poly Pomona.
Brittany plans to continue her education and become a veterinarian
and Robert’s career plans include agricultural business.
Three students
graduating from St. Lucy’s Priory High School, Elizabeth
Hartnett, Karen Kowalski and Kathryn McHenry received $1,000 each.
Elizabeth plans to attend Chapman College, Karen will enter University
of San Diego in the Fall, and Kathryn will continue her education
at Oregon State University. Bonita High School graduate, Adam
Stubblefield, will apply his $750 scholarship towards his studies
in Mechanical Engineering at Cal Poly, Pomona. Nicholas Bravo
and Parag Sampat, winners of $1,000 and $750 scholarships, respectively,
are graduates of San Dimas High School. Nicholas will be attending
Azusa Pacific University and Parag will study to become a bioengineer
at UCLA.
